Save the Chessie
Rescued from the scrapper, ex-B&O GP30 #6955 has been slowly restored back to service as funding permits. Main component replacements are about 65% complete. The next phase will include test runs and eventually a cosmetic restoration back to the famous “Chessie” paint scheme.
Many generations remember the glory of the famous “Chessie” Cat; we’re excited to return this beautiful image back to Southwest Ohio!
Passenger Car Preservation Fund
Our passenger fleet continues to grow! We now have over 15 cars and cabooses that require various forms of maintenance, along with a few exciting restoration projects on the horizon.
We’ve done our best to locate as many cars that are native to the Cincinnati a area as possible.
Of course we’re always on the lookout for that next purchase, or even donation.
